As a multi-media artist and illustrator, Wendy Plovmand's work ranges from editorial, advertising, packaging to large-scale site-specific commissions. Her work has been exhibited worldwide from Tokyo, Rome, London, New York, and Copenhagen. She uses a mixture of media depending upon the project, often using hand-painted treatments and physical materials, hand- rendering, painting, photography, collage, recycled materials, ceramics, and digital manipulation. For some site-specific projects you might find her high up on scaffolding applying paint with her hands, or she might print the artwork and apply it to a wall or interior.
Wendy has a MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London and The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture and Design.
Her commercial clients include Ace Hotel, Bo Concept, Guess, Topshop, Taschen, BMW, Wagner Skis, Magasin, Eurowoman, WWD, Dare, and Nylon Magazine. She is the creative vision behind Artiig—a wearable art label she has created that pushes the limitations of the art experience out of the gallery box.
