Longchamp

In fashion, opening a store on fifth avenue is a moment comparable to a musician who gets the chance to play Madison Square Garden. It is a career milestone. We were lucky enough to celebrate this milestone with Longchamp, an iconic, french, leather goods brand. Longchamp is the archetypal company for branding and opportunity in general; beginning in 1948 as a company who designed leather smoking pipes and successfully repositioning themselves as leaders in luxury and fashion.

Izak Zenou with Nina Garcia

The celebration, hosted by Kendall Jenner, transformed the Fifth Avenue store into Cafe De Longchamp for the night. They brought a taste of the brand's Parisian heritage to New York's Fifth Ave, and what better way to do so then with illustrators Izak Zenou and Mokshini. Both artists have such an iconic, global energy to their work, creating a perfect fit. They were invited to illustrate live portraits for guests including Paris Jackson, Les TwinsJeremy ScottCara DelevingneNina Garcia and many more. Izak and Mokshini stayed true to theme with drawings on customized stationary depicting each of their own interpretations of Cafe De Longchamp.

Our own, @xaymacabird, represented Traffic at the party.  She describes the event as "Exciting, Thrilling and Challenging". Not only was she there as a party attendee, but she had the greater job of assisting Izak and Mokshini, while also networking with the other guests. "With Izak one floor and Mokshini on the other, it was definitely a challenge .", She recalls. "Everyone involved, from the PR team, to the people at Longchamp to the bartenders were a pleasure to work with." While the event might have taken a lot of work, as @xaymacabird says, "you know it was a good party when you have to change into your flats."
